Valentine's Day

We have had a love-filled couple of days around here!  I always feel like having a child makes all the holidays even more special and significant and Valentine's Day is no exception.  Sydney truly represents everything that we love the most and it was so fun celebrating the day with her!

Our day started off with a very 'special breakfast' as Sydney calls it!  I secretly set up the kitchen table the night before with a new Valentine's plate and cup for Syd and a special Valentine's present, a new game for us to play together.

Sydney was very happy to see everything all set up for her when she came downstairs in the morning!

We headed off to preschool where Sydney's class had the honour of leading the community Shabbat.  Sydney decided to wear her heart dress to school that her friend Addi had given her and Addi coincidentally wore hers as well!  The girls were so cute matching!

Sydney got some very sweet Valentine's from her classmates, just love this handmade one!

Paul came home from work with a sweet treat too, some homemade cake pops from his receptionist!

We came home to get things set for our Valentine's Italian theme dinner that we shared with our friends Mike, Sarah and Emma.

We had an antipasti platter, Canneloni, amazing Italian Prosessco and wines and chocolate mousse for dessert.  It was delicious and so fun to share the evening with friends.

Emma brought Sydney a very special gift, a stuffed dog exactly like the one she has at home!

The girls had a great time visiting together and we had a lovely visit with Mike and Sarah.  It was a fun and full day!

This afternoon Paul and I had a lovely romantic lunch out together at Seasons in the Park to celebrate Valentine's Day.

We so enjoyed a lovely meal and the amazing view and Sydney had such fun playing with her buddies Jack and Weston while we were out.

Hope you had a day filled with love!
