So back in the fall around Sydney's birthday we invited her entire preschool class to join us at the 4 Cats art studio for a splatter painting party. The children collectively worked on a huge canvas that Sydney got to take home with her which now proudly hangs in our kitchen.
A few weeks ago Sydney's brother Zach was over for Shabbat dinner and was admiring the painting, even made an off hand comment that he would totally hang something like it in his own apartment.
As is happens, Zach's 28th birthday is next week so today Sydney and I decided to make him his very own huge splatter canvas to hang in his home.
We chose a bright turquoise for the background and chose some very fun and bright colours.
What a blast we had squirting and splashing and popping balloons filled with paint onto the canvas.
This was our final result just seconds before it went onto the drying rack.
Can't wait to see it mounted and ready to hang!
