Sydney and I have had a couple of fun days connecting with friends and enjoying the amazing stretch of summer weather that we're having.
Yesterday we drove out to Langley to see my friend Kim and her sweet boys Kieran and Declan. We enjoyed lunch in her sprawling back yard and the kids had a blast playing in the pool and sandbox and lying in the hammock.
I often refer to Kim's house as my "country home." We just love visiting there and enjoying the beautiful, peaceful space that she has created!
Sydney has been enjoying her time with Alexa, the part time nanny that is helping us out this summer. We hit up Dollarama and got a bunch of crafts for them to do together, the other day they made these beautiful sun catchers and hung them in the window.
Syd has been loving this weather and has set up her splash mat outside so that she can do some painting in the fresh air.
This morning we met up with her preschool buddy, Addi and her mom and sister at the park to play.
We had a little picnic lunch and then treated the girls to Menchie's. Yum!
I made a batch of strawberry jam with the strawberries that Syd and I picked this week. It turned out great!
Am hoping to make a few more batches of jam this summer to share with family and friends.
