Lunch at Rachel's

This morning was our last day of our three day Music with Marnie camp.  It was a fun class!  Marnie sang most of her favourite and best loved songs for the kids and everyone really seemed to be enjoying themselves!

Marnie's hello song includes saying hello in nine different languages. She gives each of the kids a puppet from a different country to use during the hello song.  Syd got the Mexican one today.

After music camp, we drove out to Horseshoe Bay to our friend Rachel's house to have lunch and a playdate with her and her boys Declan and Asher along with our friends Andrea, Aaro and Hattan.  Rachel has the most beautiful home in West Vancouver, it is tucked away along the Gleneagles Golf Course and has such a warm and cozy feel to it!  The kids had such fun playing with the toys, splashing in the pool and visiting.

Rachel made the most amazing lentil soup, salad and special bread for lunch along with yummy hot dogs for the kids.

My friend Andrea made a home baked raspberry pie and we enjoyed a slice along with a glass of Prosecco, nestled on the Adirondack chairs on her front landing while the kids played.  It was so lovely and such a nice way to spend a sunny afternoon together!

On our way home from Rachel's house, we stopped at my friend Andrea's new house that she and her husband are building in West Vancouver.  It is an absolutely lovely modern home tucked away in a forest-like setting.  They are well on their way with construction and I am so excited to see it come together and to have them move into their new home in the months to come!

Tried out my new Zoku popsicle maker today for the first time!  Made some yummy cranberry juice popsicles which Syd loved!  Am excited to try some more interesting varieties!  It was a nice way to cool down on a hot summer day today!
