A Little Aloha
This morning Sydney and I went to our friend Michelle and William's house for a very special Hawaiian themed play date! Michelle is an amazing, creative lady and literally went all out decorating her house and yard with the Hawaiian theme, it was incredible!
I dug out Sydney's Hawaiian dress that we bought a couple of years ago in Maui for her to wear this morning. I was chuckling to myself remembering buying this dress while we were on vacation with the intention of having a photo shoot of my little Hawaiian Princess in the Hibiscus garden. The day I decided to put the dress on her and take her out for the photos, Sydney was in the worst mood ever! I have a ton of pictures of this crying little Hawaiian baby in her sweet little dress. So funny!
We picked up a couple of leis at the toy store as well and wore them over for the occasion, it was great fun!
Michelle gave every guest a sparkly lei to wear and made homemade little grass skirts for the kids to wear made of velcro and streamers, so cute!
The kids had such fun playing outside with bubbles, with the sand and water table, enjoying William's new playroom, and eating all the delicious goodies Michelle made!
And speaking of food, what an amazing spread Michelle put out! Everything was absolutely delicious and in keeping with the theme, I absolutely loved it! Look at the little umbrellas in the kids drinks!
Check out this tropical fruit plate made with oranges, kiwi and bananas!
We had such a fun morning visiting and playing and having an amazing lunch together!
Sydney was quite thrilled this afternoon to find that some wee cucumbers have sprouted in the garden that she and Grandma planted several weeks ago together! So cool! I can't wait to see how big they get!
We rounded off our day with art class and then home for dinner and some time with Daddy. What a perfectly lovely day spent together with friends!
