Holiday Pizza Party

The festivities continued again today as Sydney and I met up with some friends for a holiday pizza party.  We booked a space at the Rocky Mountain Flatbread Company, such a great space for kids with a play area and the opportunity for kids to make their own pizzas!

We got to take over the kitchen today and the kids stood on milk crates and made their own little pizzas.  Sydney is an old pro at this now after having made lots of pizzas at home with me, I loved watching her roll out the dough like it was second nature!

She wanted literally every topping that was offered to her!  Even things she doesn't normally like or eat landed up on top of her fully stacked pizza!

We carefully carried the pizzas on dough boards to the special pizza oven which was heated to a blazing 612 degrees!  The kids loved watching the pizzas bake and enjoyed eating them when they were done.

It was a fun time getting together to see everyone before the rush of the holiday season begins!

Sydney brought home a special piece of artwork from art class the other day, her self portrait.

I love how the clay figure has curly red hair and looks as though it's in motion, just like Syd always is!

This afternoon we hung up the bird feeder that my sister gave Syd in the maple tree which we can see from our kitchen window.  I'm excited to see if we'll see any birds feeding at it!

Today at preschool it was Sydney's friend Daisy's birthday.  Daisy gave each child a bottle of bubbles to take home today, Syd has so much fun playing with them on the back porch until she accidentally kicked the bottle over! :(

Syd is so into helping out around the house these days.  On Saturday morning she followed Paul out into the backyard while she was still wearing her pajamas and swept and scooped up piles of leaves that Paul was raking until she was too cold to take it any longer!

And later that morning she insisted upon getting into our giant soaker tub and spraying and wiping it down for me!

What a girl!
