This afternoon Sydney and I had a rare couple of free hours together. It was some much needed down time as we have really been running with our hair on fire these days it seems! With only two more weeks of preschool left in this school year our thoughts are fast turning to the summer time and how we are going to fill our days of leisure.
So this afternoon we sprawled out on my office floor and borrowed an idea that I saw online and wrote our summer wish list on sticky notes to make Sydney's very own Summer Bucket List.
It was actually amazing how many things we came up with once we got thinking and even long after we stopped writing, the ideas kept flowing. In fact, we may not have enough time to do everything we want to this summer! Once we've done something on the list the sticky comes off the board until it's a blank slate by the beginning of September.
Either way you slice it, it's going to be fun times! We are hoping that we can pull as many friends as we can into the fun too in between summer vacations and activities.
I spent the morning with my friend Amanda wandering the aisles of Dollarama accumulating goodies for the first official preschool sports day which we are co-ordinating together. We came home with the cutest ribbons for each kid and I painstakingly made a sticker with their names on each one. So cute!
The next couple of weeks are meant to be filled with such fun times at preschool as the kids bid adieu to their first full year together.
