Sydney carefully chose her favourite pair of summer jammies and laid them out in her room days ago in anticipation of wearing them to school this morning. She looked so sweet all dressed and ready to go with her backpack on.
In lieu of a jacket this morning we decided that she could wear her bathrobe. I loved all the smiles that we got while we were walking into the preschool this morning with Syd all decked out in her sleepy gear.
The kids dimmed the lights, read bedtime stories, snuggled with stuffies and then made pancakes together for a special treat. What a great day!
When Syd and I got home we spent a bit of time working on a Father's Day surprise for Daddy, we are very excited to give it to him this weekend.
We ended our afternoon off with swimming lessons and then decided to stop for a treat at Kokopelli Cafe on the way home. I had the most delicious Rooibos tea latte and the barista made the most gorgeous flower on top for me in the foam!
We bumped into our friends Christina and Jack while we were there and had a great visit together, it was a perfect ending to our day.
