Purim
Today at preschool Sydney's class had a full blown Purim party, it was a blast! There was music and dancing and all of the kids came dressed up in costume. Sydney recycled her Halloween costume and came as a ladybug, as did three other girls in the class, it was too cute!
The teachers decked out the entire classroom with puppets, musical instruments, costumes and games for the day.
They also set up tables for a very special tea party that they had with the kids which included a wealth of snacks that everyone brought to share and the homemade hamantashen that the kids made during last class. They had special beautiful teacups and plates shaped like triangles.
Both of Sydney's teachers were dressed up in full costume, this is her teacher Rania dancing in her beautiful red lace gown!
The kids also delivered a special basket filled with treats to the daycare next door.
The kids had such fun celebrating this very festive holiday today! When we got home from school we found a very special treat waiting on our doorstep for us, a beautiful package wishing us a Happy Purim from Paul's nephew Danny, his wife Heidi and their boys Nathan and Issy. It was filled with homemade chocolate hamantashen, candy and little oranges. Such a lovely treat!
It was a very fun and special day at school today, what a wonderful holiday!
