Today was Sydney's long awaited, much anticipated, cupcake birthday party. What a terrific time we had!
We invited 20 of her friends from school and otherwise to join us at Phoenix Gymnastics for a morning of playing and treats. It was so fun to get all the kids together and to see the parents again and have a chance to visit.
The kids had such fun playing in the gym. We had three coaches at our disposal who did fantastic activities with the kids, parachute, foam pit, trampoline, slides. It was fun times!
I had Michelle from Piece of Cake Creations make Sydney's birthday cake again this year. She did a giant cupcake cake and some mini cupcakes on the side to match the large one. It was so sweet!
I tried to keep the food simple yet yummy! Everyone seemed to enjoy the treats!
Sydney was in her glory, eating cake and playing with her buddies. She was so excited that her party was finally here, we have literally been talking about it every day for months!
My cousin Mel brought this fantastic, huge Elmo balloon for Syd. She loved it so much she hugged it!
We spent the afternoon sitting on the living room floor under a mountain of wrapping paper opening up the presents that Sydney got. There are far too many to even start listing off here, will do that in a future post, but I have to say that I am overwhelmed by how blessed we are to have such wonderful and generous friends.
Sydney was thrilled with all her gifts, she opened them slowly, one at a time, and was so appreciative of everything that she got! It was the year of Hello Kitty, cupcakes and babies, that's for sure!
It was a wonderful, wonderful day. I am blissfully exhausted after all of the festivities this weekend, so I will keep it short in favour of spending some quality time with my pillow!
