Christianne's Lyceum

Early this morning Sydney and I arrived at Christianne's Lyceum of Art and Literature for the start of a week long summer camp called 'Make your own Masterpiece.'

I had long heard fantastic things about the Lyceum even before Sydney was born and was so excited to be there first hand today at long last.  It did not disappoint!  This amazing space holds more coziness and opportunities to learn than you can imagine!  There is a full fledged library, art tables, a garden, a living room, kitchen and space galore for everyone!

All of the Moms sipped on tea while the kids got settled and listened to stories and watched a puppet show before they sat outside in the garden for snack time.

Then they came inside and made a very cool masterpiece with special oil pastels and water.  This was Sydney's final result:

What a fabulous morning, am so looking forward to spending the next few days with Christianne!

We left the Lyceum and drove out to Emma Lea farms to meet up with our friends Felicity and Carl for an afternoon of blueberry picking.

Sydney once again outdid herself with the berry picking!

Had a few treats from the ice cream store, a fresh berry sundae and a still warm blueberry scone with homemade raspberry jam!  Amazing!

Couldn't leave without picking up a basket of amazing freshly picked strawberries too!

On the way home we stopped at a roadside stand that someone had set up at the end of their driveway and bought the most gorgeous bouquets of garden flowers!

I just love their vibrant colours!

I love that I have bouquets all throughout my house now, little pops of summer colour everywhere I look!

What a lovely, lovely day!
